Session 3, Activity 2 : Microtask 2 :  Synopsis

Start by determining the title of your talk with your group.  Then, add this information to the justpaste.it document that you created following session 3.

Next, highlight your group's particular contribution to the panel discussion ; do this by outlining your topic in 150-200 words.  This will serve as a synopsis of your group's talk, allowing guest participants to have an idea of what you are there to discuss and help them to ask appropriate questions.  Have everyone in your group help to write the synopsis, then include it with the title of your talk in the justpaste.it document.

The teacher will evaluate your written work and publish it on the website for the teach-in event.

Session 3, Homework :

In the next session, you will conduct the teach-in.

To prepare yourself, be sure to know the point of view that you will put forward in your talk ; do this by reviewing the information that you have researched on the organization that you are representing, including mission statement, campaigns and nonviolent tactics.

Though the 1-2 minute introduction to each talk should be prepared and rehearsed in advance, you must be ready to answer potential questions on your particular topic with respect to the four organizations, which will require an unrehearsed, spontaneous response by all members of your group.
